Using my stash!

In response to a challenge on Scrapbook Star, I dug into my piles of patterned paper to find something old...so old I wouldn't even remember when or where I bought it. I came up with a piece of junkitz paper , an adorable peach and green check, distressed with a sweet, innocent feel to it. Here's the layout I came up with:

I used my fiskar's border punch for the lacy cardstock... I love that punch! Certicle machine stitching with lime green thread and lines of peach and green brads and alot of texture to the layout. The picture were taken way back, when the kids were still sweet and innocent :) so I wanted the layout to exude that feeling.

On a shopping note...I finally had a chance to visit one of the LSS in the area, Scraptasia. What an adorable little shop, and the owner, Dawn is simply a sweetheart! I had met her at CHA last February and it was so nice to see her again. I'm hoping to have the chance to teach a few classes there if she'll have me!
