Lately I've just been drawn to getting back to my favorite style, a grungy inky distressed wow that looks authentically old vintagey looking style. So I just let myself play a bit. I've been wanting to start letterboxing and decided the first step is a good journal to stamp my entries in, so here it is, the cover is a plain sheet of grungboard, inked, stamped ,spattered and embossed. The pages are 9 signatures made from parchment paper which were handstitched to the covers with a coptic stitch. A delicate silk ribbon is attached inside to use as a bookmark. It's amazing how "leather like" grungeboard gets when you work distress ink into it! Now all I have to do is decide on a signature stamp and go search! For those of you that have never heard of letterboxing, take a peek at this site... who knows you might even decide to get in on the fun yourself!

I love that journal! Letterboxing sounds really interesting, I might give it go since it can be done in my neck of the woods. Any excuse to make a journal lol! ;)
