Just a quickie post...

to share a card made for this week's CPS card sketch.  I was inspired by this week's BSS  Monday Idea, which was to stamp a silhouette stamp with a color other than black.  I used Pink Paislee paper and added a bit of shimmer to the image with rock candy distress stickles. Stamps are (what else?!) from{ippity}.

And  I'm not even gonna tell you how long it took to balance that card on this silly concave plate...Till next time...

2 for Monday

Hello everyone, time for another h{ippity} hop...that's 2 in a row for me, I'm on a roll!  This week I have a couple cards to share with you.  First off is a card created for the Buffalo Stamps Sketch.     Cosmo Cricket paper, ribbon and a button finish it off:

And next is a card for this week's Clean and Simple sketch.  I used Pink Paislee "Sweetness" papers, sentiment is from the "How You Doin?" {ippity} set.   The card is finished off with a rose made with the sizzix dimensional die, some felt, ribbon and sparkle.

Where did the weekend go?

Wow, that flew by fast, I can't believe it's time for another h{ippity} hop!  I have a few cards to share today - the first one was based on this week's Unscripted Sketches challenge.  I used  5 different paper manufacturers on this card: Jeni Bowlin, Basic Grey, Fancy Pants, Making Memories and My Minds Eye.  Stamps are from the "Now and Always set as well as the "Just Wanted to Say" set.  The ribbon came off a birthday present for my daughter's boyfriend.

This next card was based on my sketch at Buffalo Stamps and Stuff for this week.  Papers are from Fancy Pants Designs.  I did a delicate background on the label with the scroll from the "Now and Always" set, and used the leaves from that set as well.  Once again , I used a sentiment from the "Just Wanted to Say" set - and I still haven't gotten bored with my new Sizzix rose die :)

a bit sketchy...

Sharing a card I made with this week's Buffalo Stamps and Stuff sketch.  I finally got my hands on the  sizzix dimensional rose die and I couldn't wait to play with it.  So much in fact that I just grabbed whatever papers I had on hand - these BG papers have been sitting on my desk for weeks, getting added here and there to projects.  The piece of ribbon was lying there already noted - a discard from some other card.  The scroll stamp on the nestie shape is from Inkadinkadoo and the sentiment is from Melissa Francis. OK, you caught me, it wasn't just the rose die I had to play with, I got a T!m Holtz tiny attacher too!  (OK, yes, you will probably be seeing these tiny staples all over my work for a while - ditto the roses)   I just love how this card came out!

Stop by tomorrow for FWF, I have another card made with the same sketch.  I love how you can use the same sketch and get a totally different look!

Creating on a Tuesday evening!

Hi everyone, don't you love it when you get an unexpected chance to play!  I've just spent a few very enjoyable hours up in my craft room and thought I'd share a few cards that I made.  First is a CAS card for this weeks Monday challenge at Buffalo Stamps and Stuff.  I used Blue, yellow and Cream, the color challenge at Castastic this week.  Paper is from Graphic 45 and stamps are Studio 490.  

                                   

Next is my card using this week's sketch at BSS, I had fun with all the layering of graphic 45 on this.  The flower is paper pieced with Studio 490 stamps and more Graphic 45. (I just love this line of paper...sadly I've almost used up my stash...)

FWF, TGIF and a BSS challenge!

Hiya everyone hope your week went smoothly! Today I have a card that was inspired by a challenge at my not so local stamping store, Buffalo Stamps and Stuff. The challenge was to use a background stamp (Hero Arts Dots) a die cut (Nestie label) and embossing (Cuttlebug script embossing folder) The bird and sentiment are both Unity stamps. The blingy brad has been in my stash for so long I can't remember where it came from - same as the ribbon. Lots of distress ink to soften the edges, and tada..all done!

Another Monday Hop!

Gee, I've been away from my blog for a week and I missed last week's hop and I must say I'm glad to be back! I had a wonderful trip to Buffalo, but I still feel like I'm trying to catch up on all the sleep I lost! I have a couple cards to share this week - First is a CAS card based on this week's sketch at Unscripted Sketches. I just stumbled upon

this blog several week's ago and I have to admit, I just adore their sketches! Anyways, I moved the blocks of the sketch around a bit, but you get the general feel of the sketch. I used a sentiment from The Simple Things set. (That's a Bit of Burlap on the sentiment also!) and the background blocks from the Fall for You Kit. A bit of hand stitching with some twine frame this card.

Next is a card I made based on my weekly sketch for Buffalo Stamps and Stuff. Papers are by Graphic 45, the cherry was paper pieced using an electronic die cutter and the phrase is from the Simple Things set. The beautiful delicate lace was bought at Buffalo Stamps last weekend - I just love the ribbons and trims Sharon picks out!

23 days and counting!

So excited...just 23 days left till CKC Buffalo, and I can't wait! So looking forward to seeing the SS Crew again! (Chocolate bar, here we come!!!) I'll be working the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff stand during the day (Can't think of any place I'd rather be! ) and scrapping the night away! Here's my list of "must haves" while going back home:

*Timmies - copious amounts of Timmies...I may just get one of those beer hats with a straw...
* REAL pizza - I'm thinking La Nova.
*real chicken wings - definitely Duffs
*Red Robin (can you believe there aren't any here in Jersey?!)

Ahhhh, yummy.... it just doesn't get any better than this...

Some Crate Paper to share

Here are some layoutsI made this month using my DT kit from ACBailey, full of pretties from Crate Paper and Basic Grey. Some of you may recognize this little cutie: I snapped these at the store back in June during my going away party:This picture was taken a while ago, and I've been meaning to get it scrapped for Sharon. When Sharon brought my new Slice up to New Hampshire, we wanted to see what it could do, and this is what I came up with..pretty neat flowers, huh?And this is my Magda's new furbaby, Crookshanks; a totally adorable little calico kitty that loves riding on your shoulders! (and isn't averse to hanging around in your hood if you happen to have one on) The layout is based on the December sketch challenge by Brandy at ACBailey, isn't it a fantastic sketch?!

All three of these layout were made using the same package of white chipboard letters by Basic Grey-I absolutely love them! Plain white, sponged, fully inked - they look great and have a super smooth surface that takes to color really well and the little photo turns they include in the package are so sweet!

For the love of stamps...and a dear, dear friend...

Just received a care package from BSS and couldn't wait to get my hands on everything and create!!! This was one of those rare moments when you just know exactly what you want, and your hands just seem to keep moving and creating without even having to think about it...color me happy right now :)

A piece of craft paper, a scrap of cardstock and 2 pictures of someone that's been on my mind constantly... and stamping, lots of stamping!

Back from New England...

and what a great time I had! Angela is such a gifted designer; each and every project was stunning and so much fun to make! I have one picture to share today - my birthday present from Sharon-pretty cool, huh???
