Wooohoooo for Fridays!

Hello everyone, happy Friday!!!  Welcome to another FWF!  Yesterday evening I went up to my scrap room with full intentions to complete a brand new project for today, but unfortunately, I wasn't feeling it and now I have 4 different cards, partially completed, sitting on my desk, waiting for inspiration to strike.  ah well, maybe the weekend will bring a bit of mojo!  So, this morning, I scoured through my computer, looking for something I hadn't posted as yet on my blog.  Here we go, First, a simple little card using the leaves from the "Where You Should be" set and the sentiment from the "Life's Little Moments" set. I was busy with my heat gun on this one, the sentiment, the bronze edge and the leaves are all embossed.

Next is a simple little CAS card with some Pebbles, Inc. paper, the sentiment from the "Now and Always" set and a glimmery sheer ribbon.

Friends with Flair Friday!

Good Morning everyone and welcome to another FWF! This week I have 2 cards to share with you. The first is a CAS card I made for the Castastic challenge this week, which was to use buttons. Super simple and quick, I used a strip of American Crafts patterned paper, some swiss dot embossed white cardstock, a bit of ribbon and a button. The sentiment is from the "Now and Always" {ippity} set. I added a bit of shading with some sponged distress inks. 5 minutes and it's done!

Next is a card based on this week's sketch (#58) at Unscripted sketches. I just loved this sketch and had a blast making this card. Paper is from October Afternoon, the frame is a Technique Tuesday tile that I covered with distress embossing powder. (2 coats) then sponged a bit of vintage photo here and there. I used 5 separate {ippity} kits on this card, can you tell which ones?

Happy Monday everyone, hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Mine was a bit crazy with a lot of running...I just got today's card pulled together this morning! I started out with this weeek's sketch from Our Creative Corner. I used October Afternoon papers and stamps from the following {ippity } kits: Season of Joy, the Simple Things, Now and Always and Where you Should Be. I just love the way these {ippity} sets pair up so well together! A bit of lace, some ribbon, buttons and glossy accents provided the finishing touches. Lightning, thunder, pouring rain and one very distressed golden retriever, poor thing! Hope your week is starting out with a bang! This week, my h{ippity} hop card is based on the color challenge over at "All Things Unity" along with the 3D flower challenge for ippity. I found this scrap of Scenic Route paper, left over from cutting out a nestability label and used the negative space on my card. The flower was made by layering punches, adding a bit of distress inks and curling up the petals. I white embossed the sentiment from the "Where You Should Be" set and added a bit of outlining with a white signo pen. Some
stitching and a bit of ribbon finished it off nicely.

Sharing a card I created this weekend for the Mojo Monday 136 Round or Square Challenge (except mine is neither round or square) Still using up the Pink Paislee scraps that are on my desk, I paired them with the "Where You Should Be" {ippity} set and a bit of silk ribbon. Make it masculine

This week the {ippity} challenge over at splitcoast is to make a masculine card. Well, technically it's supposed to be a "boy" card, but all the boys around here are shaving already. I based my card on this weeks sketch (#47) at 2 Sketches 4 you and added my personal favorite challenge - no patterned paper. The background cardstock was embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder, sanded then inked with distress ink. The craft cardstock was inked with distress inks to give it a burnt edge look. I added some aged twill and stamped images from the {ippity} sets "Where You Should Be" , Just Wanted To Say" and the background stamp from "Love in Return"

Finally! I thought I'd never get to play with these!!! I'll keep the chatter short this morning as I have several cards to share today! The first card has a background of distress inks and perfect pearls, copics to color in the stars and moons and is edged with gold acrylic paint:


Next,I reached for the "Music of my heart" set, a piece of little yellow bicycle patterned paper, some pearls and a scrap of lace..and inking and edging and distressing...



Then I decided to go simple with the "Where you Should be" set:



And finally, I pulled out an old favorite medium, shrink plastic, and made a re-enactment of my fish tank:
