End of day 2

Finally back in the hotel after a great day. Found some really unique products at the Supershow that made me happy, stopped in at the {ippity} booth

... did a make and take (serious sneak peek here of some of the new stamps)

Went to a fun Hero Arts class - The following card was taught by Jennifer McGuire. The flower was colored in with one of the new distress inks, barn door, a gorgeous vibrant red. (sorry for the poor lighting on these pics)

We closed out the evening with a party at SEI, where we got up close and personal with their new lines. I think my favorite was Claire - pretty pinks, oranges and taupe. (more on that tomorrow)

Well, off to make a few cards before I call it a night!

One day down

Spent the whole afternoon and evening with new product presentation...very cool stuff coming out this time! My vote for most innovative products goes to this presenter -recognize him? His die cut machine continues to be shrouded in mystery. No clues as to what color it may be, what it looks like or any special features - we've just been promised that it's really cool!

Today's a busy day...first , going to the supershow. I'm very interested to see what it's all about! Going to do some make and takes, maybe a bit of shopping, but most importantly will be stopping at the {ippity} stand. {Rumor has it yours truly has a few things in the display there!} 3pm will find me taking a hero arts class and then the evening will bring a creative impressions party and an SEI party.

A final summertime visit to the farmer's market

My weekly visit to the farmer's market on Sunday afternoon, what a glorious day- beautiful sunshine with just a hint of crispness in the air. Fresh baked bread, pretty flowers and yummy Heirloom tomatoes caught my eye this week. There were even some early season squash and pumpkins.A bunch of wildflowers found their way to my kitchen window ledge for a week's worth of smiles. Have a wonderful first week of Autumn everyone!!!

Day Ten

Wow, I really didn't think I would be able to ever say this, but after 25 years of smoking almost 2 packs a day I've finally faced my demon. December 20th was my quit day and today was day 10...that's 10 successful days! I'm feeling good about it, and strong...I can do it! Now, today was not a good day...one of those emotional, stressful, full of family drama type of days; but I made it through. Each day is a bit easier than the last but today was the day that I definitely realized that I can do it, and I will do it...Go Me!!!! ( I think this calls for a layout, don't you?)

2am

And here I am wide awake. The house is as quite as a ghost town, except for the clicking of my keyboard and the howling wind outside. I should be in bed...tomorrow's going to be a busy day, but there's just to many thoughts running through my overactive brain right now. I tried to scrap a bit, but couldn't focus for long, so I thought I'd try to blog it out of my system. So here's the situation... I have a task ahead of me...something I've been putting off for years. Fear, certainty of failure and downright stupidity have stopped me from doing it in the past, but I think I'm ready...and as I sit here at 2 in the morning, reviewing my day, I'm pretty sure I'll succeed. Still scared, a bit shaky, but on the road. So if you've got a second to think of me and send me some positive vibes, I promise to put them to good use!
Goodnight everyone!

Countdown!

It's official, my request for some days off has just been approved and in 51 days I'm off to Anaheim!!! I'm sooooo excited I could burst! CHA here I come !!! This year will be even better because I know what to expect and I won't waste too much time wandering around aimlessly in awe of everything around me. I plan on hitting the ground running and getting to every make and take offered! (yeah right, like that's possible to accomplish..) Oh, I just can't wait to see all the new goodies everyone has in store for us!

3 weeks?!!!

I can't believe it's been three weeks since I've updated... bad blogger! Well, fall has settled in here in Jersey. They days are cool and the nights are downright cold. I actually put the heat on for the first time today. It could be worse though..rumor has it the white stuff was seen in Buffalo today... A big thank you to Donna; after finishing up the Twilight series I looked around for something to read and found the book she gave me by Janet Evanovich and I am now happily reading away, onto the 5th of the Stephanie Plum series, secure in the fact that there are many more to go :)

I am once again watching TV, now that the hockey season has started and am ecstatic at how the Sabres have begun their season. (Yes I bought the NHL package to make sure I could see all the games...I even get to here Jennerett call them which makes me very happy!) I've been frantically creating for my DT assignments and just having fun with paper, I have to pull some sneak peeks together! I made my first acrylic album - at first I felt intimidated and frustrated but by the time I finished I was really enjoying it. I learned one important thing... double sided paper would make it alot easier:)! Lastly, Here's a simple blocked layout of some pics I took while walking around Manhattan.

Now I think I might just go bake a chocolate cake...

Another fantastic weekend!

Well, I think I've finally recuperated from scrap camp; three nights and I think I got a total of 10 hours of sleep. I came home exhausted and my stomach hurt from laughing so hard! The camp was lovely, the company was wonderful...I can't wait till the next one in April! Did I get anything done you ask? Well, not as much as I thought I would, but I did get several projects done, 6 layouts and a few cards, so I was happy. The camp was called "Happiness is Camping" and it is a summer camp for children diagnosed with cancer. Over $2,000 was raised for the kids during the weekend!

Here's one of the layout I got done during camp:
