H{ippity} Hop Reveal Day!

Happy Monday Morning, here we are, finally, the day everyone's waited for - the 2010 winter collection is here! All the new sets have been posted on my {ippity} site - remember to click on the pictures to get a more detailed view. I am so excited to have these sets in my hot little hands - they were just delivered this morning, so no time to play with them yet; I can't decide which one I want to try first! (but I have to say, I absolutely LOVE the scalloped border stamps in the Spring set!)

Today, I'm sharing a birthday card I made using the flower from the "Because of You" set and the date background stamp from the "Life's Little Moment's" set, based on a sketch challenge at Stamp TV. More BoBunny scraps and a bit of bling from a Spica pen:

Day 339 over at 365!

Today's challenge over at 365 cards is a simple one, just one rule - use the word "LOVE" somewhere on your card. Well that made me automatically think of the Love background stamp from the {ippity} "Because of You" set. I embossed it with Ranger's holographic embossing powder for a sweet background image and used a new SU! hostess stamp for the sentiment. More shimmer was added with some Spica glitter pens and I threw pink around with endless abandon! I loved the way this card came out so much it's going to be my design for a valentine's day card swap I'm in!

First H{ippity} hop of February!

Good morning everyone and happy Ground Hog Day Eve! Are you having fun with the hop yet? Getting loads of inspiration? For this week's hop, i played with the "Because of You" and "Devoted" sets, both of which can be found right here. The patterned paper I used is a beautiful new line by KaiserCraft - I had some scraps left over from a make and take at CHA. This first card is based on a sketch from Stamp TV. I used my favorite embossing powder - the verdigris finish was perfect with the birdcage stamp and was a great match with the papers:

The second card was made for the {ippity}Challenge this week, which was to make a shaped card. I used the opportunity to pull out my new "on the edge" Tim Holtz die to create the shape. Tim was passing these out at the Sizzix booth, and autographing each one. They're very cool and I can't wait till all of them come out. Now that I'm looking at this card closer, I'm thinking I need to add a bit of micro beads to the centers of the flowers!

Now it's time to hop on over to the next blog - you can find the links to this week's participating blogs over at the {ippity} blog!

Another h{ippity} hop!

Welcome to this week's h{ippity}hop, brought to you from sunny California! My apologies for the lateness of the post...I forgot all about the time zone change! Well, I got a few cards done in my hotel room the other night that I thought I'd share with you. The first one is a shabby little card made with Bo Bunny papers and stamps from the "Because of You" set from {ippity} (available here).

The next one is made with some SEI papers from the new Jocelyn line, and the "Just Wanted to Say" kit. A super simple card accented with just a bit of twine and buttons. I only brought one tiny little bag of supplies to play with so I'm a bit limited in what I can make, LOL.

Don't forget to check out all the other stops on the blog hop today. The links are posted on the {ippity} blog!

Welcome to another H{ippity} hop blog hop! 1/18/10

Good Monday morning everyone, it's time for another {ippity} hop! (I actually almost look forward to Mondays now) This week I've got a card and a layout to share with you. Yes, after several months I finally got a page done! I used some Sassafras lass for the background and October Afternoon accents (PP and stickers - one of the background blocks for the title is actually cut from the packaging of the OA stickers) The stamps I used were from the "Life's Little Moments" and "Alphabetically Adorable" sets. I have both of these sets in stock and they can be found on my {ippity}sales blog, right here!

The card is part of a class I'll be giving at the Rockaway crop: if your in Jersey, check out the details on the meetup group! We'll be using the "Because of you" scroll flower, a resist technique and distressing to create this card:

We will be making 4 cards and a cute little box, just the right size to hold A2 size cards:

Thanks for stopping by - your comments are bound to bring me a little sunshine on this dreary day! Remember to check out the {ippity} blog for the complete list of hop participants this week!

Some cards for the 365 challenge

Happy Sunday everyone, we're having a dreary, dark, rainy day here in Jersey - just the perfect kind of day to putter around in the scrap room! Today I'm going to share some cards I created for this week's 365 Cards challenges.

For day 316, there was a sketch challenge. I kept this one really simple and pretty much true to sketch. the sentiment and frame are from the "Just Wanted To Say" kit from {ippity} stamps and the paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Ever After collection:

The next card is for the day 318 challenge which was simply to put a house in your card. Of course I reached for the "Simply Home" kit, which is one of my favorites and came up with a simple card on a craft cardstock base. I think the stitching is what really finishes this card off.

Finally, the third challenge I did was day 321: In stitches, but more specifically, the challenge was to sew on an image to create texture. This time I used the "Because of You' kit and some My Mind's Eye patterned paper. I did a bit of layering with the scroll flower and accented the center of the flower with a grid of french knots.

Don't forget, tomorrow is Monday and that means another {ippity} blog hop! Make sure you come around to visit - I've finally put picture to paper and have a layout to share with you. I want to thank everyone for the comments they have been leaving, they really make my day...see you soon!

Get Sketchy!

I have to admit it, I'm getting addicted to these sketch challenges! What started out as a way to get myself out of a bit of a block has developed into full blown inspiration and I'm finally back to enjoying myself and creating! Now, it's true, I haven't actually done a layout in weeks..okay - months probably, but I'm okay with that, eventually I'll get back to that too. For now I'm having a ball with ink, paper and stamps. Here's a card I made based on Get Sketchy challenge # 19:

The flower from the "Because of you" {ippity} set, reminded me of some of Wendy Vecchi's images, so I decided to play around a bit with grungepaper and distress inks. Here's some of the detail on the flower to show the layering; I just love the way grungepaper holds it's shape when you position it, so much fun to play with!

H{ippity} Hop Blog Hop 1/4/2010

Hello again everyone, Happy Monday- It's time for another H{ippity} Hop Blog Hop!!! This week I used the Becky Fleck sketch featured on Caardvarks for my inspiration. The minute I saw the sketch I thought of the cute mushrooms in the "Because of you" kit. I used to collect mushroom stuff when I was a little girl, and I also had quite an extensive stamp (the lick and stick kind) collection, so I've been excited to use these adorable stamps! The Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper was perfect for this card. I embossed the mushrooms and sentiment with Adirondack powders in Moss (my all time favorite embossing powder ever!) and espresso, then inked and detailed with a white signo pen. I used an EK success border punch for the strips and then stitched with waxed linen thread. I added a bit of bling by adhering a thin strip of redline tape to the bottom of the card and covering it with loose glitter. Thanks so much for stopping by, I love having visitors and your comments just make my day! If you just happened on this post, then please stop by the Ippity Blog for the links to all the blogs participating this week!

More Ippity and another challenge card...

Sharing a card I made late last night ( Oh, how I love playing in my scrap room, late at night when everyone else is asleep!) It's based on MojoMonday sketch # 119. I really just wanted to make something that wasn't Christmasy or wintery! The papers are from the Margot line by Collage Press and the stamps are all in the "Because of You" {ippity} kit. I added a bit of detailing with some loose glitter, glossy accents and a white signo pen.
Thanks for stopping by!

Love a good challenge!

This week's ippity challenge is to "resolve" to try something new. The rules said try ANYTHING...just so it is NEW to YOU. NEW paper, NEW stamps, NEW technique, NEW ANYTHING..Well fun! I "new" exactly what I wanted to use, but decided if I had to be all new, I was going to make it at least look old... So I pulled out the new embossing frame folder that Sharon gave me, (been wanting to try it!) Pulled out this pretty piece of paper I just got and proceeded to tear it up, Grabbed one of my new {ippity} stamps (aren't those birdies cute?) and finally, after much searching, I found the jar of sticky embossing powder that I bought ages ago and never used, added some glitter and had me a new technique also! (Now wouldn't it have been cool if I had some of the new distress ink colors to use on this card?)
