It's a blue day

and that's odd for me cause I usually don't scrap in blue, but both of todays cards are blue.  First is a Holiday card using the "Kissmas &  Mistletoe" set along with a sentiment from "Season of Joy":

Next is a card based on the Unity Addicts Bingo challenge.  My choice was O down, so I had to use glitter, flowers, embossing, blue and an animal on my card.  I used "The Simple Things" set, along with the butterfly from "Books a flutter" and one of the birds from "What Matters Most".   Background papers are from October Afternoon and EchoPark.  I embossed the butterfly Flower with a blue glitter embossing powder  (technically, the glitter is purple and the embossing powder is blue)- and that took care of the challenge elements, LOL!   Thanks Michelle for everything you've done for us {ippity} chicks, you were greatly appreciated and will be missed!

Welcome to another Unity Friends with Flair Friday, thanks for stopping by! A couple years ago I bought this cute shaped 8 x 8 Making Memories scrapbook. It's sat in my closet since then and every time I moved it to reach for something else I thought...one of these days I'm gonna do something with that. Well that day has finally come, I decided to fill it with pages specifically about my girls together. At first it was going to be a present for Monika, but then I realized I would have to make another one for Magda, so I just decided to make it for myself...they can fight over who gets it (or gets stuck with it!) later. This Christmas, I got some adorable pictures of the girls and their boyfriends. Her are a couple double page 8x8 spreads I made for my book, using the Kissmas and Mistletoe set from {ippity}

Good morning and welcome to another blog hop brought to you by the people who are addicted to {ippity} stamps! I just got a box full of new paper in the mail; letterbox by American craft, and am planning on using it for my next class. Last night I sat down and started playing with it to see what things I could come up with. So I took a scrap of that, a piece of craft cardstock and a bit of ribbon and made this box. I used a nestability label for the top and bottom and scored the box with a score-pal. The fun thing is that the design can be changed up simply by using a different nestability and tweaking the box measurements. I plan on pairing it with some fun cards - maybe an easel card and a wiper card?



The center image is the mistletoe bunch from the Kissmas and Mistletoe set, with some peach flower soft. Here's a picture of how the box opens:

MojoMonday Sketch #121

Hello again everyone, another post from me on this dreary Sunday..I'm just cranking the cards out this weekend! Here's a card based on this week's Mojo Monday Sketch # 121. I had so much fun working with this sketch, it really inspired me! I used some Graphic 45 paper for the background, a bit of lace backed with some scallop cardstock and a vase from a Quickutz die. The stamps I used are from the "Just Wanted to Say" and "Kissmas and Mistletoe" sets. I stamped the mistletoe bunch upside down and placed it behind the vase: a bit of distress stickles finished the image off - This is definitely my favorite card from this weekend!

H{ippity} Hop Blog Hop 12/28/09

Good morning everyone and welcome to my first ever H{ippity} Hop post! I'm so excited to be a part of this fun parade of projects featuring ippity stamps! Please stop by the Ippity Blog for the list of names of the talented and inspiring ladies who will be sharing their work with you today!

I used the Kissmas and Mistletoe stamp set for todays card, which was based on CPS sketch # 93:



The background is snowflake embossed vellum. I white embossed the snowman on grungeboard, cut it out and inked with broken china distress ink. The snowflake has a light coating of broken china distress stickles, and I finished it off with a spritz of marshmallow glimmer mist, just to add a hint of sparkle.
